DMO Web Brochure

Web Brochure

Our industry has made significant progress in elevating the relevancy of DMOs worldwide, with performance reporting reshaping the way DMOs report to stakeholders, and branding improving their positioning.

These two initiatives are the founding fabric of the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP), an independent international body
defining quality and performance issues in destination marketing and recognizing DMOs that meet or exceed industry standards.

Are you looking to elevate the visibility and achievement of your DMO? Consider the benefits, take a look at DMOs already being recognized for their excellence and yourself the question – why not us?

Accreditation Resources

DMAP benchmarks have an impact on every DMO – regardless of an individual DMO’s decision to apply. Learn how your destination could benefit from DMAP accreditation by viewing the DMAP Informational Video and Accreditation Web Brochure.

DMAP Scholarships
Looking for additional resources to help your DMO on the path towards accreditation?  Take advantage of a new Destination & Travel Foundation needs-based scholarship fund for DMOs working towards accreditation.

Limited to new DMAP applicants, each US$1,000 scholarship is applied to a DMO's first-year application fee.  With no waiting period restriction, interested DMOs can apply for scholarships at any time prior to submitting their DMAP application.

Apply Online!

DMOs interested in Accreditation should review the DMAP Application Readiness Checklist and Approved Domain Names, Standards & Essential Elements.

Ready to apply for DMAP Accreditation?  After reviewing the above documents, submit your Intent to Apply online for an upcoming review cycle target date:

  • 31 December 2010
  • 31 March 2011
  • 31 August 2011

Two months prior to your selected review cycle deadline, you will receive an email with a link and login information for the DMAP Online Application System.  Tutorial web demos of the Online Application System can be scheduled once an Intent to Apply has been submitted.

Need to change your review cycle date? Contact Andi Arabak. Please note, after two (2) review cycle alterations DMOs are required to complete a new Intent to Apply.
